This year’s Belgrave Lantern Festival again puts all of Belgrave on the map, taking festival revellers on a self-led journey across and around the entire township. ‘Activated’ spaces and creative precinct ‘pop ups’ appear in streets, alleyways, arcades, nooks and crannies, featuring art, music, workshops, circus arts, DJ’s, bands, solo artists, fire-pits and the official opening of Blacksmiths Way 'Graff Street' project.
So, will there be lantern-making workshops in the lead up? Absolutely.

Can I bring my own lantern on the night? 100%. Absolutely. We'll all have lanterns to carry from previous parades.
Where is the meeting point for the commencement of the parade? This year's starting point will be at INSPIRO, in the lower car park.
What time does it start: The parade will kick off between 5:30pm and 6:00pm, but, as usual, there will also we pre and post entertainment. Festivities will run from 5pm - 8:00pm.
Historical lanterns can be picked up from the shed under the Belgrave library. These will need to be collected between 4:30pm and 5:00pm.
On the longest night of the year, we invite you to experience and re-experience Belgrave anew. June 24 is a homage to light, the imagination and to the community that illuminates, nourishes and informs how Belgrave lives, works and plays together.
